@mariomx2099 It … @mariomx2099 It could be the SuperDrive, or the Hard Drive, or even the DVD itself. I’d contact Apple support of if you have one near by, take it to an Apple Store and have them check it out. Even if it’s out of warranty they’re usually nice enough to replace things if it’s something as simple as the SuperDrive for example.

@sabrewulf2099 … @sabrewulf2099 iLife is on the “Applications” DVD along with a bunch of diagnostic tools that you run before boot if you’re having issues.

It’s very well … It’s very well clarified and I’ve done in successfully in 2 macs but I have a problem with a macbook, when it tries to start from the installation DVD, after nearly a minute loading the apple screen it shows the rarely seen gray screen of death (the one that tells you to push the power button to turn it off) I’ve tried it several times on this computer with the same result. Can you or anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

I just got a … I just got a MacBook Pro and it came with iLife. I did not get a separate iLife disc. I have two discs, the Mac OS X DVD and Applications Disc (haven’t confirmed if iLife is in there). Do you know off Apple includes iLife in that second disc or will I be screwed out of iLife if I choose to erase and install the Mac OS X down the road?
