    What i’m wanting to do is backup my mac mountain lion so I don’t lose all
    my important files,apps,info,music pics etc safely and without losing
    anything in the process of backing it up., as I believe my battery is on

    @UniSkibum You can restore from a Time Machine backup by starting up from
    your installation DVD.
