How to Factory Reset Mac OS X EL CAPITAN

This is how to factory reset your mac on OS X El Capitan. This trick comes in handy if your mac is running slow, has issues, is changing hands, or is being sold. This method will completely wipe your mac back to the base installation of OS X.

Remember to backup your data! Making note of your apple ID may help with a smoother reset process. When you are ready, follow this tutorial. Hopefully it’ll help you.

    If I want the new user to switch the computer on like it is 'new', would I just not do the last bit where I select language, iCloud etc?
