There’s no joke about the old adage, “Time is Money”. If I have to do any more clicks or gestures to get something done on one device than another, I’m going to choose the device with less clicks. Usability and experience is based on the amount of friction. I have a 12.9 iPad Pro with a Smart Keyboard, but I can’t get my “Work” done on the iPad Pro, I get it done on my MBP.

That's the problem with all the reviews on YouTube which are talking about whether to use the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement. They are the only ones who do video editing, which is one of the only things that the iPad Pro can't do!

if I only need to answer e-mails, write on word and use exel, wich one is better for me?

I don't use the computer for work so the iPad is perfect. I use it almost every evening to stream the daily show, The late show, or shows off of Amazon prime or Netflix while I make dinner. In the morning I tune in to NPR. What's really awesome is a plug it into an old set of computer speakers on the kitchen counter and get plenty of volume. Works great for Pandora. I have an older 9.7 inch model But intend to get the second generation 12.9 inch. Also enjoy doodling and drawing kids stories on the iPad.

I agree with Daily Tekk. I was thinking on replace my macbook pro for an iPad too. But, in addition to all he said, how would I access my 4TB of photos and videos and files on my external HD with an iPad? Of course iPad and iCloud will not be enough. So, I guess I will not replace it. iPad is more of an additional device instead of a replacement.

Good points. Now it's Oct. 2017, & you may have experience with LumaFusion, the best iOS video editor; and iOS 11 is worth taking a look at. Would like your take considering these. Thanks for the insights…

  10. AngelPlayStar says:

did you try with IOS 11 ?

  11. Amita Bansal says:

So I just started school and I just bought a MacBook pro and so far I'm not liking it. Like I want to get into photo editing etc, and I need something I can rely on to take notes, write essays & make presentations would i just be better off with a ipad pro? Can someone help me

  13. A.A. Demirci says:

I don't understand why most videos compare iPad Pro as a replacement to MacBook Pro. Both having "pro" in their name shouldn't matter. We all know that a MacBook Pro does much much much more! The more realistic comparison is probably this: iPad Pro versus Macbook.
